GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Medicinska Föreningen’s highest decision making body

The Medical Association's highest decision-making body is the General Assembly (FUM). It consists of 21 members and normally meets about once a month. FUM is elected by the members of Medicinska Föreningen, in an annual election usually held in March. All members of MF have the right to candidacy. All members have the opportunity to run. During the meetings the board members discuss issues concerning the association's activities and vote on important matters. It is the FUM that appoints the association's board, foremen, student representatives, the nomination committee and the election committee. Our governing documents are approved by the council, as is the annual budget. As you can see, all the association's most important issues are on FUM’s table, and the discussions can be long.
